Liverpool Plains Shire Council Case Study

Updated: May 11, 2023

Facilities upgrade to improve functionality, flexibility and collaboration

OBJECTIVE The Liverpool Plains Shire Council needed to upgrade their Library, Community Hub, Training Room, and Chamber Building facilities in order to better serve their staff, residents, and community. The upgrades were necessary in order to improve the functionality of the space and allow people to collaborate both in-person and online. The new spaces would also need to be flexible so that they could be used in a variety of new ways.

SOLUTION The installation of CommBox Interactive Touchscreens with built-in digital signage, web browser, screen-sharing and app store has created the flexible and functional space required and more. The Community Hub includes the stylish mobile Easel stand, Video Conference bar and OPS (PC), while the Library Kids Zone incorporates the low profile, motorised height adjustable Urban stand – perfect for kids.

OUTCOME With a variety of ways to use the spaces, Liverpool Plains Shire Council is thrilled with how these spaces have evolved. The Community Hub and Library is proving to be a popular venue and has been labelled “an absolutely magic venue”. Property auctioneers are particularly enjoying the space as it allows potential buyers to join online via video conference on the large format CommBox screens. “I’ll be talking up the Library and Community Hub whenever I take a property to market in the future.” Mr Johnston, Davidson Cameron & Co Real Estate
